Yeah, me too. :) It's not like everyone OMG MUST BE HETEROSEXUAL or OMG MUST LIKE MEN!111! Fandom can be silly, sometimes...

...Yeah, looking back at GoF (where the spells were genuinely COOL and served a purpose) for comparison, it seems like the special effects here were engineered for the movies. Bleh. In the GoF era, the Fiendfyre episode probably would have been drawn out for longer and been IMPORTANT for more than a Deus-Ex-Machina - for example, it could have gone out the door with the Trio and Draco and Goyle, and thus set HOGWARTS ITSELF aflame. That's what it could have done. *sigh* Man, I miss the old days... And I miss the old Ron and Hermione, before Ron became more like comic relief and Hermione became the Uber-Goddess who was both good at book-learning AND spells. *sigh* What's wrong with only being good at theory?! HARRY used to be the one who could actually PULL OFF the spells when it counted! *sigh* :P

HP and the DH is just FILLED with fandom in-jokes. While I found some hilarious (Voldemort-ships-Harmony!) due to the sheer OBVIOUSNESS and DEGREE to which she smashed stuff, it's... yeah, it's odd. She should really not have made such obvious shout-outs to the Hammer of the Sues, great as HotS is. "Ariana" just pulled me out of the book SO HARD. 8| Ariana Black, anyone?

As is her inability to let the books stand on their own/be seen through any other viewpoint than her own. Le sigh.

...You know, I wish all she said in the interviews were the names of the kids and "Dumbledore is gay". Because I'm beginning to realize that she AGREES with some of the stuff I thought was (non-stated) sarcasm in the books, and...

YEEP. DDDD:
