It's not just Dumbledore, either. She never realizes that her good guys aren't actually good. They may be better than Voldie and company, but that's not saying much.

I don't mind fiction that deals with gray areas or lesser evils or more complicated conflicts than good vs. evil. I do, however, mind when the author thinks they've written good vs. evil when they've written lesser evil vs. greater evil.
